My friends at playgroup

Here I am getting used to loud noises made by others

Wherever I go Evelyn finds me and KISSES me!
Maybe Mummy wont figure out that I have places to go when I am supposed to be sleeping.

Helping Mummy unpack!

In my new high chair for the first time

With Phil and my new London taxi

Playgroup BBQ. On a swing for the first time by myself

This has been the week of unpacking. Sometimes Ive tried to help, sometimes it much more fun to chew the paper and make lots of noise. But I think Mummy has really appreciated my help. Ive also had a lot of fun at playgroup with all my friends. But its sad because this was the last week of playgroup until September because most of the babies and mummies go away to find the sun. Actually Riga has been pretty sunny this week and Mummy has taken me to the park to play with my bucket in the sand. Sand is very interesting. Just when you think you have it all in your hand it goes. To where? I don't really know but I just keep trying to keep in either in my hand, in my mouth or in my toes.
I had another visitor this weekend. He was very tall and very nice. I'm getting used to tall people. I wonder why Mummy and Daddy aren't tall? Anyway Phil even brought me my very own London Taxi. I tried fitting in in but it already had six passengers so there wasn't room.
Im in a bit of pain today. My new teeth are peeking through but they don't quite want to come and show their whole selves just yet. It's not very nice and even though Mummy and Daddy keep giving me smooches and hugs, they dont really understand, I can see it in their eyes. Anyway I REALLY hope I will have them on show for you next week, Im beginning to think Im the only 8 month old with no teeth, no really, it is NO laughing matter...

At the park with Mummy, loving the sandpit

I have to share something with you. Just between you and I Ive had a very tiring week because Ive had to look after Mummy. Suddenly Mummy just decided that she wouldn't do much with me this week and has just sat down all week. She started using these funny sticks to walk and that was that. No discussion with me at all. She started changing me in funny places, I mean the coffee table is not a suitable place for my bottom to be out but she insisted. She has really got lazy I think. To top it all off she took me off to the doctor again who told me that I was a good boy because I had grown three whole centimetres in under a month. But I seem to be stuck on 7.5kg. They also couldn't find any blood in my whole arm even though they dug around for a while with a very sharp needle. I definitely had something to say about that! We had to go off to see another lady yesterday who had to do it all over again. Needless to say both Mummy and I hope that will be the end of that malarkey for a while. Just today Mummy finally got off the couch and took me to the park. It was a very hot day and I enjoyed sitting on the slide playing with the rope.

Oh I nearly forgot. We had more visitors this weekend. Mummy's friend Haylee and her very tall and hairy ( I was a little daunted by the tallness and hairiness for a while but I was very brave) man Brad came to see us. Haylee has a very big tummy because Mummy says she is growing a baby but I think its because of all the chocolate her and mummy keep eating! We took them into the old town on the tram which they enjoyed, the tram is my favourite as well. We zoom through town and the drivers are aways grumpy, that's what we like the best. Mummy and Daddy try to make them smile and I give them my best toothless grin but we haven't broken them yet. Ill let you know when we do have success....

No, I want to feed myself!

I'm exhausted. I don't even have the energy to talk really so you will just have to piece together my week from my pictures. Aunty Poppy, Uncle Phil and Hal have just taken everything out of me. I will say that I have been having more chats with my new friends in the mirror,;we are really getting along fabulously; I have been doing a lot of 'singing' to Bob Dylan and I have been enjoying playgroup a lot especially sitting in boxes and gazing at all the pretty girls. Enjoy my week!
