Playing with Elia and her Mummy Eladia

It was my second week of holidays this week and I have had even more fun with Mummy and Felix this week.

We have been:

  • to the library where I got to choose some more books to read. Mummy biked us all the way in the bike and I nearly had to bike us home as she was exhausted!

  • played with my friend Oliver at my house where we made so much mess painting that Mummy nearly keeled over!

  • Went to the beach with my whole family as Daddy took the day off to celebrate the one and only day of summer so far! It was so much fun and I took my cricket set to show the Danes how to play.

  • Played on the flying fox at our local park with my friend Selma. We got naked, ate lots of snacks and played pirates.

  • Fed the ducks with Mummy and went to some more parks where I added to my bruise collection especially on my shins.

Mummy is now 'offically' exhausted...not sure what that means. I didn't help Mummy today as I while I was in the middle of pooing I decided to leave the potty and sit on Felix. Im not sure this went down very well with Mummy as I had to go to my room. Im not sure Im going to try that one again!

My farewell party with my class

This has been an eventful week for me:

Friday was my last day in the nursery class as I've got too big. It was exciting because Mummy and Daddy came to my farewell party and we ate pikelets! I had to explain to my friends what they were but they seemed to enjoy them..... I think I ate the most though as I didn't pause in between. We did some singing and dancing and then I had to hug all my friends goodbye and my teachers. I'm on holiday now for two weeks with Mummy and Felix and then after that I go up to the BIG BOY class and I will be the smallest. But I'm still a big boy even though there will be even bigger girls and boys in the class. I wonder if I will have just as much fun there? I still get to see my old friends as they will be out in the playground. I hope I can hug and kiss and jump on my new teachers just as much!

I went to my friend Lucas's 3rd birthday. It was fun to play with the bubbles, the trains and this funny game where I had to hit a tennis ball that was tied to a stick, sometimes I got all tied up myself in the rope! Once again though I think the highlight for me was the cake.. I love birthday cake!

Hampson family had quite an active weekend. We went for our first family swim all together, with Felix as well. I love the water and even 'braved' the colder water. Mummy says I really need to get used to swimming in colder water... I'm not too sure as I'm still traumatised from swimming in Granny Moo's pool but I tried to be really brave and jumped in from quite a high ledge. We also went on a family bike ride around the lake, sometimes I was on mummy's bike, or in the swing low bike (as I call it) and sometimes I even biked myself.
Today was the first day of the holiday with Mummy. I started the day really early as I was so excited (6am!!!!) and then I really wanted to have a shower with Mummy so I did. Holiday showers are fun and I got to play with my truck in the bath for ages. Mummy said 'what ever keeps me amused and busy is ok with her!' However Mummy did say she is worried that we did too much today as she might burn out ( whatever that means) anyway we went to two parks and I got a big bump on my cheek where I collided with another boy and I played in the sand and mud with my friend Oliver. We also fed the ducks but I'm not sure they were too hungry today. When we came home Mummy and I started making my pirate ship, its looking great though we need a pirate flag.... I wonder if I could use Mummy and Daddy's pillowcase?

There is one funny photo of me and this was on the way home from family swim when I really needed the toilet so Mummy and Daddy made me sit on the travel potty in the boot of the car!!!

Making our dinner wraps with Moa

As you can see from my pictures it has been a fun time for me. We went CAMPING this weekend and I was so excited leading up to going that I could hardly sleep! We went camping for my friend Moa's 3rd birthday and we had so much fun. I wasn't really that dressed for much of the weekend which you can see and when I was I enjoyed wearing Moa's birthday present which I got her! Can you guess what I got her?

I had lots of fun with Selma and Moa and I was pretty shattered at the end of the weekend.

Not too shattered though as last night Moa came to my first sleepover. We had so much fun and kept Mummy and Daddy busy as they had to keep coming to see us though Im not sure why.......hmmmm could have been something to do with all the mess we were creating and the noise!

My favourite thing to eat at the moment is peas which I get to peel myself. Its lots of fun...you should try it yourself.

Trying on Mummy's swimming costume

At the park

At my friend Freda and Finns new house. They just moved in on Friday so we had pizza to celebrate.

So I got my stitches out on Friday. I was very brave again...in fact just between you and me it didnt hurt so Mummy didnt have to 'bribe' me with an ice cream. That was definitely the easiest ice cream earnt!

We had a funny weekend because we had a big storm on Saturday night and our house flooded. Mummy and Daddy had to clean and mop up the big swimming pool in our basement so I went off to the zoo with my friend Moa and her mummy Karin. I rode a pony for the first time and it was really big. I wish I had taken a picture because Karin said I was a natural!

Im really enjoying not wearing nappies duringhe day now and sometimes in the night when I can feel I need to go I get up and go in the potty. Im a VERY big boy now.

Opening my reward for leaving the days of nappies behind....what is it I wonder?

A cricket set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Family hampson all on board

My English side

and my kiwi side..

Two things to report this week. One is good , the other is the opposite of that!

Which one do you want to hear first? The bad one? OK well it happened a bit like this:

I was dancing around at nursery with my friend Hannah and we were hugging and dancing at the same time. Well I got a bit too excitable and I fell and hit my forehead on the corner of the column. But the best part of this story is that I saved Hannah and she didn't have a scratch on her. So I had to go to the hospital with my teachers, Pernilla and Jette and wait for a doctor to see me. What I was most worried about when I hurt myself was whether Mummy would still be taking me to the zoo like she had promised. Anyway Mummy turned up at the hospital and then Daddy so it was actually quite nice to be the Hampsons all together at the hospital. I was very brave and even though I cried a bit when the needle went into my forehead I didnt wriggle too much and I let the doctor do what she had to do which was to give me stitches in my head! Mummy looked a bit funny when this happened but I think that Mummy and Daddy were quite brave also. I got a HUGE ice cream after I had been patched up and then we did go off to the zoo where I saw the new house for the flamingoes. So that was the horrible story.

The nice story is that our bike arrived and now we can really be together as one family. Daddy even biked us all, Mummy as well, to the cafe on Sunday! Mummy now picks me up from nursery in our new rugby bike and lots of people like looking at it. I hope you like the pictures.

Oh and I just remembered one more great story. I haven't been wearing nappies for a week now, properly not wearing nappies, only when Im sleeping. I dont like this much but I guess its hard to remember to get up and go to the toilet when you are sleeping. I've not had many 'accidents' and everyone is very proud of me. Im a proper big boy now!
