The August of change and goodbyes

So August was a month of change for me because:
I left Bornehavn.
I said hello and goodbye to Poppa and Milke
I said goodbye to Nataliia
I STARTED SCHOOL

Now Im just waiting to turn 5 and I will really be a big boy then.

I was very brave when I started school. I had already been to visit so I knew where I was going and I had met my teachers before. They are called Ms Bennett and Mrs Sherman and I like them a lot. We dont get to run around outside whenever we feel like it but its ok. I get to do lots of art and drawing and listening to fun stories. I have made some friends already but the strangest thing for me is that now I am speaking English all day and not Danish. Mummy also makes me wear my smarter clothes so my pirate teeshirts have to wait for after school. I also get to travel to school many different ways. Sometimes its in the car, sometimes its on the bike, sometimes the bus or the train so I never get bored. I can also take my scooter and my bike with me and I am getting so good at riding my bike.

I conquered this water park. Look how big it was was. I swam out to it and then clambered on board. First I had a go with mummy and then with daddy but they kept falling off into the deep sea.

Third week

I jumped off that big rock into Mummy and then we swam to the other side. It was very wavvy and I had to really swim and kick hard to get there. I was very brave to have a go!

Well I have had a very busy time this summer. The biggest thing I have done is learn to swim without my arm bands. Now I can swim, with my arms, over and over, without touching my feet onto the bottom of the pool. I also learnt to use my snorkel and mask and even went out into the ocean with Mummy and found fish underneath me. I had to be very brave as it was quite wavvy and it was quite strange seeing fish swimming underneath me. I love the water. It was so hot in Croatia that I lived in the pool, doing lots of jumps and diving down to get my toys. Poppa hired a special boat which he and Mummy peddled out to the deep sea and then I got to climb up a  ladder and slide down a slide where I landed in the sea. Mummy was in the water catching me but it was quite scary.

 

I did some biking as well and I am getting better at turning and using my brakes. It is so much more fun now I can do it all by myself without the training wheels.

 

It was so much fun to see Poppa and Milke and then Granny Moo, Farfar and Aunty Bex. I think it was the best. I also ate a lot of ice blocks and ice cream, yum yum.

 

It was also the summer of lots of bugs and catching them with my butterfly net. We saw huge beetles, lots of crickets, some lizards, grasshoppers, bees, butterflies. I was very brave but I like bugs and I had to catch them and let them go outside as Mummy doesnt like them so much.

 

The end of our holiday was a bit different as there was so much traffic on the way to the airport that Mummy, Felix, Matilda and I missed our flight. So we had to go home in the car with Daddy and all our things. It took us two days and we drove though Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and Germany. What a trip. It was so much fun and we had lots of yummy treats to get though the journey. Wow what a holiday.
