My English side

and my kiwi side..

Two things to report this week. One is good , the other is the opposite of that!

Which one do you want to hear first? The bad one? OK well it happened a bit like this:

I was dancing around at nursery with my friend Hannah and we were hugging and dancing at the same time. Well I got a bit too excitable and I fell and hit my forehead on the corner of the column. But the best part of this story is that I saved Hannah and she didn't have a scratch on her. So I had to go to the hospital with my teachers, Pernilla and Jette and wait for a doctor to see me. What I was most worried about when I hurt myself was whether Mummy would still be taking me to the zoo like she had promised. Anyway Mummy turned up at the hospital and then Daddy so it was actually quite nice to be the Hampsons all together at the hospital. I was very brave and even though I cried a bit when the needle went into my forehead I didnt wriggle too much and I let the doctor do what she had to do which was to give me stitches in my head! Mummy looked a bit funny when this happened but I think that Mummy and Daddy were quite brave also. I got a HUGE ice cream after I had been patched up and then we did go off to the zoo where I saw the new house for the flamingoes. So that was the horrible story.

The nice story is that our bike arrived and now we can really be together as one family. Daddy even biked us all, Mummy as well, to the cafe on Sunday! Mummy now picks me up from nursery in our new rugby bike and lots of people like looking at it. I hope you like the pictures.

Oh and I just remembered one more great story. I haven't been wearing nappies for a week now, properly not wearing nappies, only when Im sleeping. I dont like this much but I guess its hard to remember to get up and go to the toilet when you are sleeping. I've not had many 'accidents' and everyone is very proud of me. Im a proper big boy now!

My first day of holiday in France

Im back! I know....I really have taken 'being on holiday' to a new level but I wasn't allowed to access a computer.....Mummy says I needed to give my eyes a holiday as well so I had to make up games and play constructively elsewhere. Though just between you and I, I really missed tap tap tapping away on the computer.

A quick run down on what I have 'constructively' been doing over the last three weeks.

First of all Mummy, Felix and I flew to London without Daddy where we didnt do much except for pick up our luggage again, and meet lots of nice people who helped us get on another plane on the same day to France. I really wasnt sure about why we did this and why Daddy wasnt allowed to join us however before I knew it I was off to France. I really really enjoyed flying this time especially take off and landing. Mummy said it was just as well. When we got to FrancGranny Moo met us and took us to her house amongst the wines. Mummy was so excited she nearly cried. I cant never work Mummys tears out, sometimes they are supposedly happy tears and sometimes sad so I just give her smooches anyway just in case she really does need cheering up.

Daddy arrived the next day as he had driven down from Denmark. I think Daddy is amazing and I hope one day he will take me on this road trip of his. Daddy didnt look too enthusiastic about this idea, im not sure why. We had a great time at Granny Moo's house in Provence, with Aunty ' giver of great cuddles and maker up of lots of fun games to entertain Hal and I' Poppy, Uncle ' hunting for lizards, watching surfing and snowboarding clips' Phil and my fun cousin Hal. We had a blast, though the highlight probably wasnt being thrust into the arctic pool, screaming and kicking to give our mummies and daddies the idea that we REALLY were not up for this 'learn to swim' session. We did enjoy the river walk though once again the sun was hiding. The ice cream was probably the highlight for me personably. Mummy and Daddy have finally realised that this is what holidays are all about!

Then I went off to England with Mummy and Felix and would you believe what happened at the airport. Some lovely man gave us a ride from the airplane to the baggage which was a very long way Mummy tells me and we didnt even have to get out at passport control. Mummy says this is what it is like when you are famous. Maybe they know Felix and I are very famous? We got to drive over a big sky bridge high in the sky and we could see all the planes in the world. It was amazing. We went on another drive to a place called Guildford where we stayed with my friends Theo and Poppy oh and their Mummy and Daddy, Emily and Phil in their house for the week. THis was INCREDIBLY exciting for me as they are big and know how to have lots of fun. I also went to a farm park with Mummy and Felix where I did lots of 'big boy' things, sliding down scary slides and going on rides. At one point I even got naked all by myself to do a spot of swimming! We went up to London to visit my cousins Otto and newly born Coco which was very exciting. Aunty Kylie and Mummy were very mushy all day and kept making 'oowww' sounds every time we were all together especially when we cuddled! Mummy's friend Haylee came to visit and I was very spoilt as she gave me a fun dinosaur box, with my own dinosaurs in it! Granny Moo came to visit us as well so it was the most exciting week for me. Then Daddy arrived and we went in the car for a long drive to stay with one of my first friends from Korea....Lila and her parents. Lila was getting christened so it was another party to eat cake at! We did lots of farming things and we played pooh sticks together.

So now we are back home and we are waiting for summer to come to Europe as it seems to be hiding. Hopefully after mid summer party this week the sun will come out for good!
